I've been following Dale Chihuly's work for almost 7 years and he keeps surprising me.
Chihuly is renowned for his ambitious architectural installations around the world in historic cities, museums and gardens. He also has some work at the Botanical Gardens here in St. Louis. www.chihulyworkshop.com
Photo: Chihuly's exhibition at Halcyon Gallery has been extended until May 18 with new artworks added including the Sunset Boat.

Vivian Maier was as street photographer. She also took some self portraits that were a bit unusual because she stand in a reflective surface and it would usually show her in two places at once......sometimes many images of her like this one. It is one of my favorites.    http://www.vivianmaier.com/

Ethan Pines makes portraits with celebs and everyday people. He also photographs landscapes and other subjects of interest.  www.ethanpines.com

Damon Winter is a New York based staff photographer at the New York Times specializing in documentary, editorial and portrait photography. damonwinter.com

Damon Winter also displays some landscapes and other types of photographs.

Gary Randell is a facebook friend and I admire his approach to shooting landscapes (mostly in Washington, Oregon and Alaska). He takes as much time as he needs to photography the picture he wants and will camp, hike or endure extreme weather to get it.

I first encountered Nigel Barker's work on America's Next Top Model; he tends to be more mainstream but his photos have something special.
William Eggleston in the Real World (2005) Poster

Mr. Eggleston's body of work gave me the understanding that you can photography anything and make it into whatever you want......simple or not.

Jill Greenberg captures Henry Cavill without his cape :)
She ads her unique style to her portraits. www.jillgreenberg.com

She also takes away some of the 'evil' from Michael Shannon's General Zod.

Kelli Connell has interesting concepts for multiple portraits.

This is Lexi last spring.
She really enjoys being outside.

Today, as I was driving home from school, I saw a hawk.  It was on the ground instead of perched high above the road; actually eating something.  That was beautiful, if only I could have captured it on film.
